Release Notes

INSTRUCTIONS:

IF YOU HAVE ALREADY DOWNLOADED THE GAME, go to control panel, add or remove programs, and remove the Chronicles of Asku. Then you can install the new version =) Enjoy

When you download the folder, right click within the folder and select EXTRACT ALL

Run Setup.exe

Follow any on screen instructions

Alpha 2.1
• Fixed a bug with the level 10 amulet not awarding enough extra health
• Cleaned up the store. In the previous version, the player had to press enter one too many times to navigate through it with each selection.
• Added in the first phase of a death counter. This will track how many deaths you've had and display them when you choose to "Display Stats"
• Added in the first phase of a check to see if you have completed the pre-reqs to go to a tomb floor. For example, you must complete floor 4 to go to floor 5. That way the player doesn't just grind levels in earlier floors, then jump straight to boss fights. The second phase will be implemented with the next patch or update
• Nerfed Joachim's attack damage, and buffed player's healing bonus from the level 10 healing tome. If players are still unable to beat Joachim, I will once again re-evaluate the stats of the fight (You'll have to re-buy the item for the heal bonus to take effect)

• Removed the (required text) after the skeleton in the training hall
• Added a new enemy type! The Villager! This new enemy will be encountered on floor 3 of the tomb and below
• Added a normal Attack Bonus: to the display stats on the main game menu
• Added Floor 3 to the tomb
• Added Floor 4 to the tomb
• Added Floor 5 to the tomb
o Added the first boss to the game
• Fixed a bug that if you died in the training hall, the game would think that you're dead or fled when you go into the tomb. The variable that test if you're alive or not has been told that it must cooperate with the player and the training hall.
• Raised the level cap to 15!
• Made small difficulty adjustments. Once content is solid, balancing will receive much more needed attentions
• Fixed bugs with player leveling at ~ level 10 that could potentially cause a crash during fights due to incorrect number assignments to the player attack range
• Fixed a bug in the battle engine that did not reset the display of the console after both the player's and mob's moves and instead just added on to it. It now resets for improved readability
• Added gear
• Added placeholder text to floor 6 if someone tries to select it, instead of the screen just going blank then taking you back to town.
• Added a store where you can buy armor sets for levels: 1-4, 5-9, 9-14, and level 15 armor.
